Hi Val.
Pedro is quite a character. I love him so much, and so does everybody who meets him. His feathers are gorgeous.
Val I couldn't have found a better breeder than you. All the birds that come from Cuckoos Nest Aviary are the kind of bird(s) that you would want to have. Anybody that wants to have a social companion, I recommend you choose the Cuckoos Nest Aviary, and NEVER buy a parrot from a pet store! Why would you go to a pet store when Val has a very clean aviary, and the right equipment to breed, also, your parrot is guaranteed healthy.
Val I don't know how to thank you. You aren't only Pedro's breeder, you have become a friend of mine, and to my family. Thanks so much for everything you have done to help, you have really made this much easier:)

Hi Val,
Just to say hi and let you know how Willow is making out. She is doing great, buddies with the all of us now even the dog and some of our friends. At first she only wanted to be with me, I guess because I was home stock trading and therefore around her the most. But now she is attached to Roberta and Lauren just as much.
She has a vocabulary of over 50
words now and growing. Sometimes
she only has to hear something
once and she will repeat it. Like
when Roberta once yelled at Lauren
to turn the music down now she
says "turn it down" If
she is in her cage with the door
open and you call her she will
fly to the floor then come right
to you. When let out she will follow
you around like a dog but loves
to be on your shoulder the most.
The bath thing is no problem now
but we have to put more effort
into the potty training to see
if she will learn it. Anyway she
is a wonderful little pet and quite
the nutcase at times. She likes
to pull the bell off her mirror
and then will spend a lot of time
trying to hook it back on. Down
to the bottom of the cage to get
the bell, then back up with it
and try and hook it back on. Then
she drops it and back down she
goes over and over again. Finally
she will take it over and drop
it in her water dish and give up.
Roberta took pictures of her with a little Santa hat on we will have to send along to you soon. Bye for now.

Val and Craig,
It's hard to put into words the
enormous difference Molly the Senegal
has made in our lives. This little
bundle of feathers has completely
taken over our world in the best
possible way :) You did a fabulous
job raising her, she's a real sweetheart. Hard
to believe she can get two stodgy
adults to run around on hands and
knees playing with her :) Her favourite
treats are almonds and raisins
and she's like a little Hoover
finding every tiny little crumb.
She loves to be 'on' us best of
all but is very good at playing
on her own.
|
She
knows every trick in the book to
get what she wants but she's sooooooo
easy going, loves people and she
adapts very well to change. Her
favourite toy is the Chunky Monkey
from Oliver's Garden, a colourful
shreddable wood toy. She's
learned a couple of different whistles
and you can tell she's very proud
of herself, especially when she
practices them at the top of her
lungs first thing in the morning,
right in your ear :) It's hard
not to laugh when she tries to
avoid going to bed by offering
her head for a scratch or having
a sudden urgent need to groom her
feathers. We're going to have a
very challenging life trying to
keep one step ahead of this little
Einsten. Thanks again so much!

Hi Val,
Fiji is doing amazingly! She lets us wrestle and cuddle her and she's just turned into our little baby, we
have so much fun playing with her!
She is such a sweet darling bird, I am thrilled with her, thanks again! All my friends who have met her love
her, they can't get over her beautiful green (none of them have ever seen a Caique in person). She's really
steals hearts!
Have a good day,

Val, I thought it was about time I sent some pictures of the awesome child you raised. I wish that Dog
breeders were as concerned about breeding dogs as you obviously are with your "BIRDS" Mikayla is the most well adjusted, friendliest animal I have ever had the privilege of having. She fills our lives with humor and joy each and every day.

Hi
Val,
I can't tell you how much I adore Rumble...he belongs here.
My bird family feels complete. Yesterday when I had him up
he reached for David, so he is settled nicely. His voice is
unique...sometimes he sounds like a monkey and some of his
words are spoken like little boys.
Take care,
Shelley |

Hi Val,
Hope that you had a nice New Year's .The "boys" are getting
along great and they have become buddies, but both like their
attention
from us. Merlin now eats anything you put down but he is much
neater :) Meiko still loves to get his face dirty.
Take care,
Shelley

Buying
a healthy bird is not a difficult challenge if a person is
very careful. Buying a healthy, very well nurtured and socialized
bird that is on a very healthy and varied diet can be a big
challenge. Buying a bird that goes way beyond all those expectations
is what happened to us with every bird we have gotten from
Cuckoo's Nest. If anyone is looking for a pet, our recommendation
would be Cuckoo's Nest all the way. Thanks to Val and Craig
for the wonderful additions to our family.

Val,
MJ…she is one spoiled rotten African Grey. She has to have
her breakfast warmed of course every morning. Usually a boiled
egg or toast about twice a week. She is extremely cuddly in
that she goes into my neck and falls asleep or she will crawl
into her blanket and go to sleep for hours if you let her.
She can cough exactly like a human even better I think. I
will say to her "MJ how is your cough today and she will cough
two or three times. She starting to do the theme to Jeopardy,
she says "how' ya doin" "I love you" and "over here". We took
her to Nova Scotia with us last week and she loves to travel,
great in the hotel room, except when she tries to talk and
squawk, she's a bird what can ya do.Keep in touch.
All the best,
Mike |

Hi
Val,
WOHO I love my baby!!!!!!
She was not impressed with going back into the carrier to
go to the vet, but seemed happier because she could see out.
She travels in the car really well. She is now 'pigging' out
on her pellets. She seems very happy and content. I would
have her with me all day but know that it isn't fair to her
as it would not be a daily thing. Right now it is bird, bird,
bird, more bird, emails to show pics and more bird.....well,
you know.
Cheers, Heather |

Basil
(aka the clown, after dinner entertainment, lumber jack and
finger nibbler) came into our lives over a year ago. He is
the best thing ever. He laughs and sings like everyone needs
to know. He has trained us to obey commands (Come here! Up
Up! Night Night. What a good boy! Turn around. No No No! What
are you doing? There! What?) The list is growing. It usually
take us 3 to 4 days to teach him new words. He surprised us
today with "I love you" and "uh oh!" I must say that since
my Mom passed away and I feel down Basil sure knows how to
make feel loved and part of the "clutch". I always give credit
where credit is do. All credit goes to Val and Craig. They
are not just breeders but they are family to all of us. They
are absolutely the best!

Hi Val,
I just wanted to let you know that Congo's doing great. I can't believe how quickly the time is going with him. He now dances (not all the time, but many times) and gives a high five. And, today he said step up! It was really exciting! He wouldn't do it again later, but, hey, with time....I'm going to have a motormouth! :)
Just wanted to let you know he's doing great and I'm having soooooo much fun with him.

Dear Val and Craig,
Thank you so much for or little Zipper.
He has bring so much joy into our lives. He talks sings and dances. He comes out with the right saying at the right time. He asked "what ya doing" when you are doing something. He gives kisses and says "I love you to" after the kiss. He eats just about everything he is not afraid to try new foods. He goes to every body even kids as you see in the picture. This is my 4 year old niece, Alana she just loves him and always wants to have him on her. I can not thank you enough for our little fellow.
Sincerely,

Hi Val & Craig,
Well Archie has been with us since two years ago this past Valentines Day and he still never ceases to amaze us lol.
He's more a feather person than a "bird". He sings, dances and talks up a storm. His vocabulary is quite extensive, he speaks in sentences such as "What are ya doin?",and "Get in there", (what he says to the lovebirds when its time for them to go in their nests for the night, lol) and can sing parts of songs. He is very out going and loves to socialize.
We're soo happy he came to us.
Thank You so much for our baby! :)

Val,
Parker is doing very well he does talk. He says "Hello Parker"
and "pretty bird". He wolf whistles at me, he whistles for
me when he is trying to get my attention and I have even heard
him say step up when he wants me to pick him up. Parker is
so funny, when I am in another room and he is trying to get
my attention I will say hello Parker and he will whistle at
me and then I will say hello Parker again and he will whistle
at me this will go on for a few minutes, then I will be quiet
for a minute and he will keep whistling when I do not respond,
he will say hello Parker.
Parker is very loving; he gives me kisses all of the time.
Parker has a coconut shell in his cage and it is his favorite
toy. He will lie on his back inside the coconut shell so that
all you can see are his feet sticking out it is the funniest
thing I have ever seen. He loves getting new toys I usually
don't even get a chance to attach it before he is all over
me trying to get at it.
Well I hope to hear back from you soon until then take care.

Val,
Here is Yoshi enjoying the Christmas decorations. She is one
sweet little girl! She whistles, click, beeps, growls and
purrs (purrs are for Mama only!), and even says her name.
Yo-Yo loves to socialize with almost everyone who comes to
visit and especially loves my dad. It's funny to watch her
run back and forth, trying to get Dad's attention. She's totally
fearless when it comes to the other animals. I really have
to watch the cats, as she's always trying to figure out how
to get to them so she can give them a pinch!

 Hey Val,

Hi Val,
I'm just writing you this email to update you on little, well not so little anymore Fagan. Firstly, I want to thank you again for selling me something as cool as Fagan, all my friends, think his great.
The only problem for any extended period was this spring, but really I was expecting it, and that only lasted 2 or 3 weeks. But other then that hes so sweet, all he wants to do is hand out with me, or cuddle (are all Quakers really soft like him?). So its a great bonus. Ive attached a few pictures of him so you can see how hes grown, hes up to 120ish a few hours after eating. As opposed to the 100ish right after eating lol.
I'm hoping to get up to the gala this summer with the birds and mom, so you will have to come by and visit him, and Oliver and Sassy too.

Dear Gramma Val!
It's been way too long since we've been in touch, but I've finally managed to get some pics of Sunny out!
Sunny is a ray of sunshine Val! It didn't take him longer than a day or two to settle right in with the family, and there is absolutely no doubt that the ease of his transition into our home was because of the love and care you and your family gave to him Val! He is truly a member of our family and such a joy!
His playfullness is adorable and we could spend hours watching him if time would allow it. He loves his baths and likes to cuddle with me afterwards (which I love to say the least!) I know Caiques are not talkers but we are positive he is trying to mimic some of our words, like "step up." He also makes a cute clicky noise which I figured out to be his "kiss kiss" sound! As a matter of fact, all the birds are mimicking one another, and it's to the point that we can't tell their voices apart!
I would also like to say how impressed we were with the package you sent along with Sunny. The individualized information about him, the care and feeding information etc was just wonderful! You truly go above and beyond! I can't believe that you would ever need more referrals, but Val, we would love to tell people about you, your family and the wonderful babies you raise! Should we ever decide to add one more to our flock, we will only buy from you Val. You are the best!!
Take care Val, and keep loving what you do!

Hi Val;
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even know where to start!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is amazing and I just love her to pieces.
You have done a wonderful job raising her.
She is so sweet and lovable.
She is definitely MY bird though lol.
She is starting to get used to Carl and the girls but
I am the favorite.
Tonight she even regurgitated supper to me( ahhhh) (gross) but ahhhhhhhh.
LOL.
She just absolutely loves to cuddle but boy does she poop a lot.
I try to say "good girl , poop" when she poops hoping she will maybe
"potty train" but.... We'll see I guess. Do they eventually slow down with
Poops as they get older? I know Mozart is not as frequent a he
Was when he was a baby so maybe there is hope?
Anyway, Thank you, thank you, thank you.
She is absolutely wonderful.
I will send some pics soon.
And yes baby number three is somewhere in our future I'm
Sure. Carl is already mentioning a Quaker again lol.
Anyway, take care and we'll talk soon.

Hi Val,
All I can say is WOW! She is everything I hoped for and more. She's absolutely gorgeous, and didn't even
seem phased by the trip. Alex was telling me she was chirping to him during the car ride home. When I got
home to see her she wanted out and greeted me with happy whistles. She's eating like a little piggy and
seems to so far to be pretty relaxed, she's preening and chattering about. She's so incredibly tame and easy
going, I'm so thrilled with her already and it's just the first day!
I can't say enough about the amazing job you've done with her, I am truly lucky to have found you and have
received such a wonderful bird. I can't thank you enough!
Once she's settled I will send you some photos of how she's doing. It's been an extreme pleasure dealing
with you, her folder of information is great and it's awesome how you sent all her stuff!
Again thank you for the opportunity to own such a beautiful little animal, bless you!
Talk to you soon,
-Marlowe

Hi
Val,
Just letting you know that Jade did fine today. We got her home and put her on the play stand, I figured it would seem familiar to her. Then we let her explore her cage. She loves the rope sphere swing, didn't want to come down! She ate cut up apple like it was going out of style. She sat on my fingers and ate most of it that way, Erika fed it to her, it was quite funny! She quite liked the other swing too, we put her on it late in the day. I had to put some of the vet wrap on her swing in her cage as she couldn't stay on it, it is the jungle gem acrylic stuff. After I put the wrap on it, she loved it. She lets us know when she she wants attention! She sqawks up a storm til we go get her. My dogs are not like yours, we have to be careful not to let them around her. I'm too worried they would try to eat her. We put them out side or go in Jades' room with her. Carlee already had one bird (almost), she's not having this one!
Anyway, I just wanted you to know she's doing great. It will be interesting waking up to her tomorrow.
Talk to you soon.
Bev
